How my journey began
I’ve been working with vulnerable people for over 13 years now, and in each role I’ve delivered training to volunteers, staff and clients. I started as a volunteer myself, and from there, I built a career in the homelessness sector.
I help charities to ensure their staff are well equipped to deal with everything from ever-changing legislation to volunteer management. I’ve worked across a variety of roles, ranging from front-line experience with clients to managing complex volunteer programmes, and have a good understanding of how charity organisations work and what they need to thrive.
I’ve worked with big-name charities, including St Mungo’s, DePaul and Thames Reach, helping them to upskill staff and volunteers by running dedicated training sessions on a range of topics. I have experience in both delivering existing training programmes on behalf of organisations and creating bespoke training sessions dependent on the needs of the organisation and individuals. I am fully adaptable to the needs of the charity.
I have a Level 3 in teaching, a degree in Visual Communication, and a passion for ensuring others have the knowledge and skills they need to excel in their jobs and contribute to ending homelessness in the UK. I am professional, approachable, and I teach with a hands-on methodology that helps my attendees absorb the material covered in the course.
